EzyLibrary Smart Access – Limited Warranty Terms & Conditions

These warranty terms apply to all EzyLibrary Smart Access devices, attendance systems, biometric access devices, gate controllers, and related accessories supplied by EzyLibrary.

By using the product, the customer agrees to the following terms and conditions.


1. Limited Warranty Coverage

Warranty coverage is limited strictly to manufacturing defects and internal electronic failure under normal operating conditions.

Warranty does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation under all environmental, electrical, or network conditions.


2. Warranty Period

Main PCB / Controller Unit

12 Months Limited Warranty

Covered:

  • Manufacturing defects
  • Internal electronic failure under normal operating conditions

Not Covered:

  • Physical damage
  • Burn damage
  • Reverse polarity damage
  • Power surge damage
  • Improper wiring or installation
  • Water/moisture damage
  • Corrosion or rust
  • Damage caused by unstable electrical supply
  • Unauthorized repair or modification

Power Adapter

6 Months Limited Warranty

Covered:

  • Manufacturing defects under normal indoor usage conditions

Not Covered:

  • Cable cuts or physical damage
  • Burn damage
  • Water or liquid exposure
  • Local electrical fluctuation damage
  • Third-party adapter usage
  • Damage caused by improper electrical conditions

Fingerprint Sensor Module

Limited Warranty Coverage

Covered:

  • Internal electronic failure under normal operating conditions

Not Covered:

  • Surface scratches
  • Wear and tear from usage
  • Moisture/water damage
  • Physical impact damage
  • Fingerprint surface damage
  • Connector/cable damage
  • Corrosion or oxidation
  • Damage caused by improper handling, cleaning chemicals, or environmental exposure

Fingerprint scanners are sensitive electro-optical components and may be affected by environmental and electrical conditions beyond manufacturer control.


Maglock / Door Accessories

Warranty coverage for maglocks, push buttons, locks, and other third-party accessories shall be strictly as per the original vendor/manufacturer policy.

EzyLibrary shall not be responsible for third-party accessory failure beyond applicable vendor warranty terms.


3. Installation & Electrical Requirements

Warranty is valid only when:

  • Recommended power supply and wiring practices are followed
  • Proper grounding and electrical safety measures are maintained
  • Device is installed in suitable indoor operating conditions unless otherwise specified

Improper installation may void warranty coverage.


4. Environmental & External Damage Exclusions

Warranty does not cover failures caused by:

  • Voltage fluctuation
  • Power surge
  • Electrical interference/noise
  • Improper grounding
  • Lightning or natural disaster
  • Water, moisture, humidity, or liquid exposure
  • Excessive dust accumulation
  • Heat exposure or outdoor environmental conditions beyond supported specifications

5. Unauthorized Modification

Warranty shall become void if:

  • Device is opened, modified, rewired, or repaired without authorization
  • Internal components are altered or replaced
  • Non-approved accessories or power supplies are used
  • Device is tampered with by unauthorized personnel

6. Software, Network & Cloud Limitation

EzyLibrary shall not be responsible for issues caused by:

  • Internet downtime
  • WiFi/router instability
  • ISP/network problems
  • Third-party network infrastructure
  • Local networking configuration
  • Power failure at customer premises

Cloud-based features may depend on internet and network availability.


7. Remote Diagnosis Policy

Initial troubleshooting and diagnosis may be performed remotely using:

  • Device logs
  • Diagnostic data
  • User-provided photos/videos/details

Customers may be required to perform basic troubleshooting steps before repair or replacement is approved.


8. Service Scope Limitation

Warranty includes:

  • Remote technical support
  • Firmware/software assistance
  • Hardware diagnosis for covered components

Warranty does not include:

  • Onsite electrician work
  • Site rewiring
  • Civil work or fabrication
  • Door/access structure modification
  • Network infrastructure setup
  • Third-party technician charges
  • Travel or visit charges unless explicitly agreed

9. Replacement & Repair Policy

Repair or replacement decisions shall be made solely after technical inspection and verification by EzyLibrary.

EzyLibrary reserves the right to:

  • Repair the product
  • Replace specific components
  • Provide equivalent replacement hardware
  • Reject claims falling outside warranty coverage

Repeated or intermittent issues caused by environmental, electrical, installation, or third-party factors shall not automatically qualify for full device replacement.


10. Limitation of Liability

EzyLibrary shall not be liable for:

  • Business interruption
  • Attendance/access disruption
  • Data loss
  • Security incidents caused by external conditions
  • Indirect or consequential losses
  • Financial losses due to downtime
  • Damage caused by customer electrical/network infrastructure

Total liability, if any, shall be limited strictly to the original product purchase value.


11. Warranty Claim Requirements

To process a warranty claim, customers may be required to provide:

  • Proof of purchase
  • Device identification details
  • Installation information
  • Device logs or diagnostic information
  • Photos/videos demonstrating the issue

Failure to provide required information may delay or reject claim processing.


12. Final Decision

EzyLibrary reserves the sole right to determine:

  • Whether a fault falls under warranty coverage
  • Whether repair, replacement, or rejection is applicable
  • Whether environmental/electrical/installation factors contributed to the failure

The final technical assessment of EzyLibrary shall be binding for warranty decisions.
